He might moonlight as some kind of Creation monitoring system, but he certainly wasn't any sort of expert at hand-to-hand combat. His specialty had always been more academic than front lines, despite his ability to wield a gun when necessary.
He dipped Evie playfully, hand moving from her waist to her back, and he smiled as she told him of her kitten rescuing escapade. "As I imagined, you're going to be entirely impossible for him to control. What of the oncoming traffic?" he asked. "If he had not been there?" he asked, lifting her easily and twirling her without warning.
