Who: Cherrie & Gunnar What: Picking up a christmas present. Where: Aubade 406 When: After this. Warnings: TBD.
Cherrie hadn't been keen on the idea of showing up at the man's apartment in the middle of the night. She'd never actually been to the Aubade before, but that was besides the point. The point was, that it wasn't proper for a lady to go over to a guy's house at all hours of the night--not that it stopped her from visiting Johnny for their movie nights or anything. This wasn't Johnny, though. This was Gunnar.
Johnny was a nice upstanding kind of guy. She felt safe around him. Gunnar made her feel... She wasn't sure what she felt around him, honestly. Sometimes he made her feel like a lady. Other times, he made her want to beat him over the head with the baseball bat they kept under the bar counter. The fact that he'd pieced together just how to get under her skin and so quickly had been a definite stumbling block in any attempt to form a friendship. She almost felt a little guilty for not getting him a present.
The unsent Christmas card was sitting in her purse. It'd been sitting there for a while, and the wear and tear of being in a bag with other objects was apparent. She'd been sitting on it, waffling back and forth on whether she should give it to him or not. It felt strange bringing it with her, as if she were waiting for him to give her something first. She was hoping whatever it was the gift was, it wasn't him. She couldn't help but believe he was arrogant enough to think that he could be a gift. f that were the case, and she came all the way out here to find that, she would present her card and leave.
Yes, that was her plan. Having been let in by the doorman, she made her way up to the fourth floor. When she arrived in front of the apartment, she knocked.
