Re: First Floor
The compliment was appreciated, and she would have preened if her free hand hadn't been occupied with the drink. Instead, she took another sip, looking up at him through her elongated eyelashes, just beneath the brim of her hat. She was clearly pleased that he approved, especially after the long process of costume elimination they'd gone through the night before.
When he answered her question, she could see the shift in his expression. She felt a little guilty about keeping him to herself when he could be with his friends. She hadn't even asked if he had plans, not that she thought she had to. He would have told her right? "I don't know. Everyone's been kind of busy. I don't think Doug will be coming back here anytime soon. He had a hard time relaxing the last time I brought him. I think Rad and Skyler would rather stay in. Kylie's got a performance tonight. They're DVRing it so I can see it tomorrow. Juliet's a bit of a wild card, but we'll see." The rest of her friends...well, she wasn't sure Mere would find this place appealing, and Poppy was gone. She couldn't really think of anyone else that they didn't share, since they both knew Bly and Jack.
