"Optimist," he said, lifting his chin, displaying a strong jaw with a feminine curve. "You should bring your mark anyway. Dress like Little Bo-Peep if that's his thing, but bring him. He'll get one look at me and think you're as innocent as the driven snow in comparison, mark my words. I'll make you look good." He pulled a pack of cigarettes out from god-knew-where in those skintight leather pants, and packed it lightly against the counter, offering her one if she wanted it.
