Once she pulled him in she did get a hug back, because it seemed right. She was one of those small, pretty girls. He'd worked with girls a lot like her, and they'd always seemed to need someone to protect them. The unasked for affection made him want to give some back, paradoxically enough, and he held her tightly before letting her go.
"Not to boast," he said, smirking, tilting his head back, "But I did, I definitely did. I'm confusing and I can sing, who doesn't want that?"
