Who: Neil and Olivia
What: Clubbing
Where: Pick up at Aubade, then to Trinity, but ending up at Rplace.
When: Monday, December 27
Warnings: Language? I don't imagine much more than that?
It was a while since Neil had really went out and let loose, and he really needed something to take his mind off his problems. The eminent prospect of losing his job was upsetting enough, but what really ticked him off was how after five years as the store's manager, the company could drop him like yesterday's garbage and then expect him to stick around to help close his store's branch. It took about five seconds for him to decide, Hell, no.
Tomorrow, he'd probably change his mind and go back to the mall to pack ties into boxes to be shipped back to the main office; a pay check a prime motivator. It was a bitch, but that was how the world worked. Though, tonight, Neil wanted a wee bit of rebellion.
Clubbing with a stranger he wrote to for the first time. He didn't know who she was or what she looked like, but he made assumptions. She lived at the Aubade, which made her filthy rich. She had the soprano role of Pamina in The Magic Flute, so she was talented, cultured (Mozart, baby!) and probably young and cute (who ever heard of an old, ugly Pamina?). However, she wanted to go out drinking and dancing, which meant she wasn't stuffy, plus she was daring enough to go out with a perfect stranger (he could've been an axe murderer for all she knew!). It was going to be an interesting evening, and Neil was already formulating a plan to make it memorable.
He pulled up to the Aubade in his white, 1965 Studebaker. It was the end of December, which meant freezing temperatures, but Neil managed to look cool in a pair of stone washed jeans and a lined leather jacket. The heat was cranked up, as was the music, with Pink Floyd was on the radio. He shifted the car into park and strained his neck to look out the opposite window for this Olivia Opera Singer.
