Ray grinned and kissed her back. It was nice being on Isobel's good side, and he definitely didn't want to be on her bad side again. When she suggested they go caroling, Ray agreed, too tempted by the prospect of caroling alone with her far too hard to resist.
They went caroling for a couple hours. It had been chilly out, but nothing unexpected for the season. Singing was really all they did, going door to door and occasionally singing from one door to the next. Many of the families who had opened their doors were pleased with the performance and thanked them profusely. A handful of houses had children, who sang along as well.
It began to snow as they were leaving their last house, and Ray was definitely starting to feel the chill. "Hey," he said, sliding his arm around her waist and pulling her toward him, "I made some eggnog earlier, want to taste test for me?" he asked sweetly.
