Alfie considered the absurdity of her making cookies. She considered it, and then she cast aside her concerns. It was the holidays, after all, and she was looking to do things differently this year. She took the bowl. "What am I to do?" she asked.
"The vigilantes are quite unaware I know as much as I do, I believe, the older ones, that is. I would like to keep it that way. They would worry about an old woman's involvement, which, admittedly, is motivated out of concern." She nodded toward Mika, then. "As it is with you. I saw you, and I became concerned, and that is one more vigilante I am associated with."
