She laughed, keeping step with him with much more grace now that she wasn't worried about the shoes. "I suppose they'll be necessarily if you insist on taking me places in lieu of a date," she said easily, clearly not bothered by the prospect. Indeed, the thought that she was only there as his employee made her feel safe. She didn't need to worry about winning his favor or impressing him, and as long as she looked halfway put together, things would be fine.
"This is nice, though." Reina smiled, glancing at the other dancers. Being surrounded by such finery was lovely. Seeing people in gorgeous evening gowns was delightful. There was something ephemeral and lovely about the whole affair, and she loved it. "I haven't been to a party like this-" There was a catch in her voice. She almost said ever, which would have been bad. "-in ages. I like it."
