Re: The Hallway.
It wouldn't be fair for bunny to react adversely to the first real important thing Luke had told her in forever. The confession was starting to settle in and her cheeks were flushed with a shade of pink that bridged over her nose. In all honesty, she hadn't considered Luke an option, but a lot of little things were making more sense now. His excuses made sense too. It could make things really awkward. He probably could've asked anyone to sit next to him tonight as he made his announcement, but he said he needed her to be there. He just told her how he felt about her. That meant no matter how much he forgot to tell her, he didn't find her annoying or stupid, and he wasn't trying to push her away.
The world might have been getting crazy all of a sudden, but the feel of his hand in hers felt safe. When he squeezed her hand, she squeezed his back instinctively. She was frowning, because she had the strong urge to cry right then. She could feel the tears welling up int he corner of her eyes. She was going to ruin her make-up, but the frown broke, because somehow that was okay.
She took in a deep breath and looked up at him as her hand left his. A moment later, she'd flung her arms around his neck and hugged him tightly. She just hugged him, because she needed to hug him right then. "I'm really glad you told me."
