Who: Mika and Alfie What: Alfie recognizes Mika Where: Behind a shady looking building When: Two days after this Warnings: Just a bit of Violence, probably
It was a cloudless day. Windy and just a little bit chilly, but sunny nonetheless. Mika's bus stopped two blocks from the Hamartia, but she didn't mind the walk. She was still hopped up from her work-out at the dojo. But if she was honest, she was probably more hopped up from the events, two nights ago. Mika had done little else but draw and redraw cartoonized comic panels, trying to recapture the excitement she'd felt, on the scene. The whole thing was so cool, it made her smile every time she thought about it.
Innocently walking past a convenient store, Mika suddenly flashed. Two seconds. There were two hooded men playing tug of war with a brunette lady who was clearly not keen on letting go. The graffiti could have been on the back of any building in Rainier Valley, but the only brick building on the block was the one she was standing in front of (and she knew her flashes didn't extend past a block or so). Quickly, she dropped her backpack behind a garbage can and ran behind the building, in what she hoped was a heroic manner. She didn't bother to hide her face, there were a million crime-fighters and crime-fighting-wannabes in Seattle, no one was going to come after her.
"Go home, little girl," The one closer to her growled impatiently, "This doesn't concern you."
Shaking her head disappointedly, Mika beckoned him forward, "Make me." She smirked. Wow, that sounded really badass! She made a mental note to say that more often. The man cracked his neck loudly before inching towards her, fists ready, in front of his face. Grinning widely, she aimed a punch at his exposed abdomen before delivering a kick to the back of his knees. The man went down hard, almost hitting his head against the pavement, "Still wanna fight?" She couldn't contain the wide smile on her face.
The man stood up and brushed himself off. Shaking his head slowly, all the while glaring angrily at Mika, the man begrudgingly calling off his partner in crime, "Let's go!"
Mika watched the pair run off before turning to the brunette lady and handing her her bag back, "Be careful, this isn't exactly the safest part of town, okay?" The lady stared back at her with wide unblinking eyes, clearly afraid. Nodding vigorously, she ran off without another word. Well, that was generally the reaction that Mika got from helping people out, but she didn't mind too much. She did it because helping was helping, even without the gratification. Feeling satisfied, she headed back towards where she left backpack with a big smile on her face.
