Who: Cherrie & Johnny
What: Grocery run.
Where: Grocery Store
When: Wednesday afternoon.
Warnings: LOLOLOL probably not.
Ever since her talk with Jack, Cherrie had been throwing herself into her work. She'd moved around the furniture in her house, cleaned every nook and cranny, cooked up a storm, some of which she donated to "Mike" and Sam. She hadn't spoken to Sam much either, but "Mike" was always eating at the club. She figured he could use some food at home too. That and she was secretly checking up on the girl she hadn't spoken to since the day after Halloween.
The more busy she kept, the less she had to think about what happened. Lucky for her, he was busy too. Even if they did live right next door to each other, it wasn't hard to avoid him. She could just poke around and try to find his voice. It took a lot more concentration than when he was in front of her, but she was getting better at pinpointing him. She felt a lot like a stalker, but she wasn't doing it to follow him, she was doing it to avoid him. That made her feel better about it.
The only other obstacle was Ruby. She hadn't met the girl, so she didn't know what she looked like. That was a problem in terms of avoidance. She'd have to just cross that bridge when she got to it. For now, she was trying to find a way to restock her kitchen. All that cooking only meant she had a lot of stuff to replace. Being in the store was nice. It meant getting out of the apartment, and she got to walk around. It wasn't like when she had to sit in the laundromat for three hours.
Reaching up to the top shelf, she rolled onto the balls of her feet attempting to grab the last can of condensed milk. People were never considerate of those who were short and lacked reach. Her fingers groped blindly at open air and she let out a growl of frustration.
