-A pile of glitter on the kitchen countertop, a note nearby that says: "To Az, From your friend Genny" and though the handwriting is pretty obviously Tristan's, there is a kiss-shaped lip print in pink lipgloss over Genny's name.
-4 empty wine bottles on the terrace, a quick inspection of which reveals that none was a very good wine, and none of them came from Azrael's collection. One of the bottles has a rather substantial collection of cigarette butts in the bottom.
-Only a slight reduction in the food in both the refrigerator and cabinets. Most notably missing is the cereal and milk, and the remaining milk is just edging past sour. A random package of pink and white frosted animal crackers has also been opened.
-One bowl, one spoon, and one glass are dirty and next to the sink in the kitchen. The edge of the glass is decorated by several perfect pink lip-prints that match the print on the note by the glitter.
-The bench of the piano has been moved several times according to the divots in the carpet. The recorder is still sitting on top of the piano, but a quick look reveals that it's been used. It plays: ~A few seconds of silence pass before several rather loud clicks, then Tristan's voice, close and clear "fucking piece of sh--CLICK". Another few seconds of silence pass before more clicks and then Tristan's voice again ""I don't know if this is working". But after a frustrated sigh, there are a few tentative piano notes, warming up before launching into a familiar piece, a simple song that Tristan had memorized back at the foster house. It continues for several minutes, ending on a soft chord before the recorder clicks again. After a brief pause, there's another click, no talking this time, just a few minutes of a piano arrangement of one of Azrael's songs. The process is repeated, song, click, silence, before Genny's voice comes through. "Are you going to play me a song, Tris?" There's a soft, affirmative sound closer to the recorder before a song that Azrael's never heard before, lasting several melancholy minutes before it ends, Genny's voice coming through again, "I like that one, even though you wrote it all sad." Another click brings the end of the side one. Side two has only two clicks, one at the very beginning, and one at the very end. The rest is filled by a single, meandering session of piano music that changes tone but never really resolves itself into different songs. It ends in the middle of a phrase, leaving it unfinished and unbalanced.
-None of the beds appear slept in, though there is a rather rumpled appearance to one of the armchairs in the room with the piano.
-There are several random sketches left around the apartment, mostly done in ballpoint pen on the back of whatever paper could be found. One is different, though, and left deliberately on the nightstand next to Azrael's bed. The pencil drawing is of a violin and a single, dark feather. There's nothing written on it.
-The key, if Azrael thinks to pick it up, is waiting again at the front desk, Tristan having dropped it off as he left shortly before Azrael's return.
