ALPHABET KILLER ON THE LOOSE [Photo of police tape around Duvall Lake.] Seattle police announced today that there is a serial killer prowling the streets of our city. The most recent murder, that of David Carver, took place in an affluent neighborhood with significant security. The crimes, which were originally mislabeled by the Seattle Police Department as suicides, had varying MOs and seemed to be initially dissimilar. They can now be tied back to one killer, however, by their alphabetical nature: Amelia Rhodes of Auburn, Brandon Stephenson of Bothel, Collin Wood of Clyde Hill and, lastly, David Carver was found submerged in Duvall Lake. Authorities recommend that residents of the greater Seattle area with names beginning with Es be mindful of their surroundings in the coming days, and that they utilize care when entering areas that begin with the letter E. The psychology of the criminal is, in this case, a matter of debate. Is he playing cat and mouse with our police force, or is there more to it than that? Whatever the motivation, one thing is clear: If the first murder, that of Amelia Rhodes, hadn't been mislabeled a suicide by the Medical Examiner's Office, this killer could have been caught before three other innocent people died. If the second murder hadn't been labeled a drug overdose, when there were no corroborating witnesses to drug use by the victim, Collin Wood and David Carver might still be alive Stay inside in the evenings, Seattle, and don't travel alone.
