E-mail to L. Henry
[Sent roughly a day and a half after the vigilante pow-wow. From an e-mail address 'noq121@creations.com' to his home e-mail. Who gives her these things?]

Bird, it's Quinn.

Oracle gave me e-mail.

Fine. Just a bullet to the chest. Attempting escape soon.

Have you heard from Little Bird? She was hurt.

Oracle... Batman knows her How did Oracle get my e-mail, then?

[...] 'Attempting escape?' Quinn, you can't escape from a hospital after you've been shot in the chest. Do you want to die?

No, I haven't. I was going to ask you how she was... what happened to her? Was she shot too?

Told her where you lived. Then she put it together.

Patched. Will be fine. Just a bullethole.

Don't know. I jumped in front of bullet aimed for her. But then the ceiling fell. Her arm was bleeding.

It's like we're playing twenty questions Okay. How did you know where I live? [...] Did you follow me? Who else knows?

You need to stay in the hospital until they release you. That's the whole point of going.

[...] But he said there wouldn't be enough to hurt anyone Not that much fell, it was just I heard gunshots and Was her arm bleeding before or after the ceiling fell, did you notice?

Followed home. Batman wanted to know who you were. Oracle and I found out. Just us.

Didn't ask to go. Will be fine. Need to start on new outfit then find Red and break his trigger fingers.

Don't know. Paying attention to bullets flying. Time I noticed, I was hemorrhaging out.

Batman wanted to know who I was? asjdjdfkfdll; HE COULD'VE JUST ASKED ME, JESUS Okay I'm definitely talking to him later Right. Well, at least it's just you. Obviously you know not to tell anyone else.

Nobody asks to go to the hospital, Quinn. They go because it's necessary. [...] And going after an armed man on your own isn't a smart idea.

Oh. Well, I'll see if I can get in contact with her.

I'm already looking for one Mask Killer, but you don't need to know about that When you say 'soon', you mean you're going to stay until they discharge you, right?

[...] If we go after him, we need a plan. Something solid. Not like the meeting

Or when Oracle okays it to go. Soon.

Of course, plan. Will need time to get materials anyway.

But I plan on drawing him out.

Right Alright. But it's not smart to go out if you're not fully healed.

Materials like what? [...] And what do you mean, 'drawing him out'? How?

Have to. Otherwise they ask why I look like a pin cushion.

Can't fight gunman in cotton.

Use symbol he'll want to kill. Make myself a target.

True, but you could end up making the wound worse. It might even get infected or something.

Yeah... guess that's why Batman gave me that new stuff Right. You thinking kevlar, then?

[...] What symbol? And this sounds a lot like a suicide mission. What if he kills you this time?

Can cut out infections.

Kevlar's good. Flame retardant in case.

The Bat. He aimed for high profile. He can't kill me if I'm ready for him.

Are you aware of how unsafe that sounds?

Flame retardant just in case, what the hell Right. Always good to be... prepared.

[...] Does he know you plan on using his symbol? And if this guy has guns, then yeah, there's actually a good chance he could kill you.

You're not supposed to know my name That doesn't mean you should do it again.

He's going to love that. And if you do get killed or hurt then he's going to feel like it was his fault, and he already feels bad enough about the whole meeting thing You don't think possibly being killed is a big deal?

Just saying it's been done. Not a worry.

If you're doing this and worry about death, you're in the wrong profession.

You're unbelievable Whatever you say.

It's not a profession. It's [...] a choice. A duty, even, to some people - or a calling. But just because I'm willing to take risks in order to make a difference doesn't mean I want to die. Of course I'm going to avoid it as much as possible and take precautions. I'm no good to anyone dead.

I hope you are, because sane people don't usually laugh while fighting crime I don't know, it's kind of hard to tell through e-mail.

Good. Neither do I.

I'm not being stupid - and if I did have plans, I could carry them out on my own if I needed to. For God's sake, you were shot. Take it easy for at least a couple days.
