Re: Return email-As promised with attachments
Dear Mr. Brandon,
Attached you will find a very simple slide deck outlining the current plans for PR and communication from within Thomas, Inc. The attached slides go into further detail. I have also attached a statement expressing the explicit disapproval of the actions recently undertaken by the individuals at the press conference, as well as at Aubade. It states that no press conferences are planned at this time as a matter of public safety. Any and all media inquiries will come to my office.
As you'll see in the slide deck the plan is outlined as such
1. Damage control
-Including a series of statements emphasizing intense disapproval of the actions taken recently, a desire for safety for your family and your employees, a clear denial of current accusations, as well as media training for your family members and every employee currently on site. Your family will be private with me, and very brief. Simply to inform them of how to handle the media if approached. Solidarity with Orin Monarch, a united front is not a bad thing in this situation. This sort of thing concerns us all.
2. Roll out of business as usual
-Redesign of the PR department
-If there is a new project to be undertaken now would be the time to focus on it. If there is currently nothing substantial in the hopper I suggest working to find something (I have noted some projects in the final report that might be beneficial to this process)
3. Plan going forward
-contingency planning, risk assessment and accountability on all fronts.
I have also included a report I put together on your current situation, projects requiring a communications plan NOT related to the current climate, and my assessment of your internal communications strategy.
I hope this information is helpful and acceptable.
