EARLY MORNING WINDSTORM INJURES THREE [Broken limbs litter a popular city street.] An early morning windstorm struck a small area of Seattle Friday morning. The event, which occurred at approximately 3:30am local time, was isolated to a stretch of bars and clubs downtown. Witnesses say that there was no warning before the wind whipped up 'like a freaking tornado', according to one witness. Local student, Angie Hayes, who was among the three injured said: "I was just heading out of [bar] to walk home when suddenly the world went crazy. I heard this cracking noise above me and next thing I know, this huge branch was falling. I didn't have time to get away before it landed on top of me. I tell you, there's no better way to get sober real quick than a freaky thing like that happening!" Three people were injured by falling branches, officials say, and several bars are reporting broken windows and other damage caused by the storm. Meteorologists who were questioned about the windstorm have reviewed computer readings during the event say there's no easily identifiable cause for the storm.
