Kitchen Table
When Evie goes into the kitchen the morning after she arrives home, she'll see the table set up as if it were in a restaurant and entertaining a party of one. There's a slender vase containing a single flower - which, if Evie were to investigate, had been "borrowed" from a bouquet elsewhere in the house - beside a nice placemat topped with a clean plate and appropriate silverware.
Opposite the place setting, on the other side of the table, are two closed containers. One contains a short stack of french toast, and the other contains a collection of crispy-fried bacon. Between the two containers is a small decanter filled with honey.
On the empty plate is a note written on a white index card in blue, loopy handwriting. It reads:
