[The gifts are initially viewed with some hesitation; he knows by now that he should expect nothing less from Tim, but the package, particularly the laptop, still surprises him. Although once he's gotten it open it's met with a howl of glee because it just looks cool, like something a super secret spy might have or something.
The response comes in the form of an e-mail after he's gotten everything all set up, although he still hasn't tried the tux on yet. He'll worry about it when he has to, the new toy's way more interesting right now.]

Bowties are supposed to look silly. That's why they're BOWTIES. If they didn't, they would just be called ties. Unless you're James Bond? But he could probably wear a clown suit and still look cool.
Thanks for the laptop! You didn't need to, I could've managed until I saved up enough to get a new one, but thanks. It's really kind of awesome; the screen flips around and it's got HAND GRIPS and everything. I think it's even got a GPS, although I'm not really sure why. I guess so it always knows where it is in case it gets lost? I think I'm going to name it Gladys. I'm probably going to test the durability later since you say it's better than the last one, and the booklet that came with it says it's supposed to be able to withstand all kinds of things. I'll let you know how it goes.
