[Creations Times, byline Cipher.]
ANGRY MUCH, SEATTLE? [Photo of the abandoned nursery the dead bodies were found in.] This past week, Seattle, two Creations were killed in an abandoned nursery, in an abandoned tenement in Ranier. That, in and of itself, is hardly alarming. However, the force that accompanied these murders, that was alarming. The two men, Creations, had a history of petty crime, admittedly, but the murder was undoubtedly Creation-committed. One man was held down and stabbed over one hundred times, and the other man was brutalized to the point where it almost makes me sick, and that's saying a hell of a lot. Justice, Seattle? Hardly. It's evident these were personal crimes, fueled by anger and hatred. It's evident these crimes were ability-aided. Any human assailant would have needed assistance to hold down the men, would have tired after fifty stab wounds. So now we aren't only meting out justice, no, now we're also torturing people? Is that why we crossed over? So that we could lose our humanity a little more every day? So, lets add the Nursery Killer to our list of growing bad guys, shall we? He gets a place of honor with the Mask Killer, the Joker, the Penguin, the Night Terror, and whoever the hell keeps playing with our inhibitions like we're dolls in a dollhouse. And we go about our little lives like we don't mind being ants in their ant farms. Enough is enough, Seattle. Our heroes are forced to go underground by APBs, and we haven't even seen some of them in weeks. And here we are, sitting here on the sidelines, heckling when we should be encouraging. The police department can't deal with Creations, not when we don't exist in the eyes of humanity, and new organizations - like EIT - don't have the backing or the balls to effect change. I spent some time with Sentinel recently, and he told me a story about how a city that loved him turned on him once. The heroes, they're just like us, at the end of the day. Sometimes, they just need our support. It's like voting, Seattle. We're all sitting home expecting someone else to do it for us. It doesn't work that way. Be aware, take a stand, be heard.
