[He stops pushing forward and for a second she thinks he's learned his lesson. But the intruder is still there and she realizes that he's still poking around, peeking. He can't see into her system but he can see the next wall and it's still more secure than the last. It's obvious she's got a secret, or that she's paranoid, or both.
She sees the trail he leaves behind and sends a signal to follow, only to watch it bounce to and fro and lead nowhere substantial. He's good, but he's still a little sloppy. She could focus and try harder to find him, but that would pull her attention away from her system. It's good, and it would still take time for him to get through, but she's not going to take that chance.
