There's one I know of that's very good at finding things -- but I always think the best bookstores are those in which you come across books like surprises, new friends to be made rather than locating something you know you want. That's what the internet is for.
Is it really so bad, to be trained? To know how to do what you can? Some of us need it, some of us want it, some of us won't even think about it at all! But perhaps having it there, even as something to not-want utterly is important too? I can't say I've met a de-facto king, however. What are they?
