About Adam: The setting takes place in a city named detroit, which is known at the time as semi-dead ( uneventful ). Adam has a dark dark spirit, is an utterly brilliant romantic poet and musician of the rock `n roll type, that is a tired old soul suffering through all eternity as a . . Yep, a vampire. No, he don't sparkle and he's better than fucking twilight. Also, to me, the easiest way to describe this whole film is to say that this group of vampires are addicted to O-negative blood and the whole film treats it like one big druggie film. Although, from that perspective, I'm pretty sure that's only half of the story. Adam's personality isn't at all booming, infact he's in constant depression because of the way society has become. He's always entertaining the thought of suicide, fuck, he always has a revolver with a wooden bullet inside his home and is always contemplating when he should use it. His dissappointment in society ( alot of his problems being that he is unable to grow accustomed to the world with all its new technology ) and its people are pretty clear and As a result, his wife who has been flourishing in the new world in tangier, senses adam's depression and decides to visit him. Adam's job, in order to pay the bills and purchase rare blood, is thus: He's an undergroud musician, so he sells his music online and does so anonymously with no means leaving any trail behind. Since he can't risk being found out that he's a vampire. Most of his days is spent lazing about and not doing much of anything. He only has one friend, whose name is Ian ( and isn't a vampire ) and upon his ( is a vampire ) wife's arrival give or take a few hours later, his wife's sister Ava ( also a vampire ) decides to just show up. Adam only tolerates her because she's important to his wife. Unfortunately Ava only complicates things for adam when she comes on to him-- and infront of his wife, thus disrupting the couples idyll reunion. So yeah, there's his story in a nutshell. Really, he's too fucking old for this shit. Here's a random fact about adam: He loves talking about the famous people he's met. I have yet to develop his story in the rp world but I'd like a chance to. I have this headcanon that he was very good friends with the famous painter; Van Gogh as well as shakespeare. Really, anybody you could name from history, you can bet Adam was there. Also, I think I should mention some stereotypes of vampires that aren't necessarily relevant to this indie film. Yes, he has cravings for blood but he doesn't just go on a killing spree for blood. He has it pretty under control and would only feel an insane craving for only rare blood types. Like, as stated before, O- negative. The whole *hiss, hate sunlight, must cover up least I burn* aspect of vampires is sadly, true. So whenever he wants to go out, which isn't likely but sometimes he needs to, he'll put on dark shades and other stuff to protect himself from the sunlight, no matter how fantastically rediculous it may make him look. If you wish to know more of the film, here's a link that's really entertaining to read through. |
