Aziraphale watched Crowley stride away from the bandstand. He'd regretted the words 'it's over' as soon as they left his mouth. They had been together, as friends, and as enemies, for thousands of years. Definitely more as friends. More than that, everything they'd done, they'd done together, especially breaking rules. They were part of each other. And those stupid words might have put paid to everything.

He took a step after Crowley's retreating form, still black and even in his anger with a little bit of swagger. He'd always known him anywhere, no matter what clothes, what hair or what time, from the drawl of his voice and the way he held himself. And that could have been ended, with three tiny words. That frightened him almost as much as what else was to come.

Yaz woke slowly, feeling sick as a dog as she sat up too quickly. Her hand went to her head, but she dragged herself to her feet. The fact she wasn't in the TARDIS and she couldn't see the others overrode all the nausea.

She staggered, following a familiar sound. She was shocked at the sight of the TARDIS lying on its side and she pushed herself to run, ducking into the door 'Doctor!'

"Guys! Brace yourselves, we're going on a bit of a detour!" The Doctor tried to play down the rapid tailspin the TARDIS had gone into, scrabbling around to try and regain control, while swatting off the alarms so the others wouldn't panic. She already knew what was going on and she didn't need flapping companions, well, mostly Graham to make things worse.

"Vortexes, so messy...is it vortexes, vortesees? Hmm, thoughts for later. Everyone alright?"

"John, I know she's new, but we shouldn't be spinning like this," Rose called out, braced against the console. She was used to this, and she wasn't one for TARDIS sickness, but this felt crazy.

They'd grown this TARDIS from a tiny coral and she was like a baby to them. They were connected nearly as deeply to her as they were to each other. A deep, family bond. There was more reflection of John in the design their TARDIS had chosen, more steel blues than her signature pinks, though the light was warm and soft, respecting Rose's need for comfort and sleep, and her insistence on carpets in a few rooms.

"Sweetheart," she called to the TARDIS. "Listen to me, we're here, there's nothing to be scared of, but you need to try and slow down, please." Rose inched towards John.
