Daniel blushed. He was family? He felt that way about Mr. Miyagi too, but he hadn't ever imagined that Mr. Miyagi felt the same way about him. "Really? You're family to me too, Mr. Miyagi." He said, blushing more.

Then he took the pill and swallowed it with his tea. "It hurts some, glad it's pill time. Have you heard from Ma today? I kind of fell asleep and she said she was gonna call." Daniel said, he had been dreaming about Johnny again, and he didn't want to have to tell Mr. Miyagi that.

He hoped the other boy was okay, he hadn't seen him since Mr. Miyagi had saved his life.
