Daniel leaned into Johnny's side, having every confidence that Johnny wouldn't let him fall. Part of him was tempted to ask for a wheelchair, but his pride wouldn't let him. He wanted to walk out.
"Thanks, Johnny. Sure has been a crazy few days, huh? Can't believe how much our lives have changed." It was going to take some getting used to.
"Wanna stop to grab food for all the kids on the way home? Ma's probably taken care of cooking, but we could get doughnuts or something?"
