Zelos gave a blink of his eyes. He was somewhat startled by his friend’s reply. “Uh, heh. You really think?” he attempted, his voice somewhat uncertain. The tell-tale sign was the faint laugh contained in his voice, as if the concept was somehow humorous.
He knew he was being obvious, though. That, coupled with how awful Malba had felt earlier, made him feel justified in what he said next: “You know… glad they didn’t realize. Means… you found me instead, right?” Zelos mumbled. He leaned in, nuzzling faintly against Malba’s dark hair. “Wouldn’t wanna be with anyone else.”
