With Malba pressed in so closely, brushing against his collar just so, Zelos found he couldn’t suppress his reaction. He shivered faintly, his shoulders trembling and his smiling lips giving a slight twitch. His skin was warm—tingly—and for more reasons than one.
Hoping to maybe conceal his reaction a bit, Zelos forced a rather nervous-sounding laugh from his lips. “Well,” he attempted, his voice trailing. What were they talking about? Right. Malba’s obsession with animals. “You took in this stray, didn’t you? I’m a lot to handle. Gotta focus on gettin’ me housetrained first, before you can tackle anythin’ else.”
