Ikenna slowly drew his focus away from his son's slack face, his red gaze setting instead on the young human beside of Malba. He remained in silence for a moment, carefully watching the boy's uncertain, troubled demeanor. On one hand, he felt for the boy, but on the other... This was what Zelos had requested, after all. He wasn't going to sugar-coat his answer.
"It will likely hit him rather fast, yes," he stated, his voice calm, seemingly unaffected. In truth, his insides were downright quaking with dread. "It won't take long, if it isn't immediate," he added, his voice softening a bit. His red gaze slowly traveled back to his son, his arms crossing about his chest even tighter. "Malba is... going to wake to a great deal of pain, this much I know. How much and how fast it will overcome him, I can't say for certain."
