Olli knew that car. It was pretty easy to recognize it, as well as the girls who drove around in it, with complete ease. The Bradfords were not the sort of people you could ignore easily. The family was well known, for one, and the girls themselves weren't exactly the sort to blend into the background. Neither of them was really Olli's cup of tea, but then, her personality was so polar opposite to a lot of women in town that it wasn't exactly easy for her to find things in common with most of them. Between Marley's vociferous moral and ecological stances, and Monroe's fashionista tendencies, Olli had little to say to either of them. It wasn't as though they'd have much to say to her interests, would they?
Nevertheless, that didn't stop Olli from offering a friendly and pretty genuine smile as the car slowed to a crawl. "Hi ladies. You heading over to Jamison's?" It seemed like a pretty safe bet considering the direction they were driving in. Olli wasn't sure why they'd slowed down - not for her, she assumed - but on the off chance one of them actually did have something to ask or say, Olli wasn't about to start off the conversation rudely.
Setting the heavy bag back down, Olli glanced at the car. It was expensive. So were most of their possessions, Olli would wager. Her family wasn't exactly poor, but they by no means had a lot to spare either. They were comfortable, and Olli was used to getting what she needed, not wanted. Sometimes though, she wished she had just a little more so she could splurge. Olli swept her hair off the back of her neck as she waited for a response.
