Reaching over, Monroe turned the radio down and pulled the car over. She didn’t notice the other girl at first, her attention focused on her younger sister. That grin spread wider at the compliment and she shrugged one shoulder. “I know.” She offered before turning back to take a look around, making sure they were alone. One quick sweep confirmed it, Olli was currently in her blind spot. Flipping down the vanity mirror she gently touched her hair, primping it and placing her long bangs flawlessly against her cheek.
“Landon Albert is going to be there? Ugh, I think we’re going to need a lot more than weed and booze.” Her voice was full of poison, rolling her wide brown eyes from behind the sunglasses she shook her head. “He’s always up everyone’s asses.” She replied, flipping the mirror back up. “If he doesn’t back off...” She trailed off, the smoke curling through the air and out the open window. “Hey, don’t bogart tha--” She was cut off as a familiar face filled up her rearview mirror. “Put that out!” She snapped just as Marley cried ‘Fuck’ and began snubbing it out in the ash tray.
Pretending to fan herself while fanning the skunky smell she turned towards her open window just as Olli trotted up. Forcing a phony plastic smile the girl’s way she waved lightly. “Oh, hey Olli.” She started, her voice taking on that ‘oh-I-actually-care’ tone. “Yeah, we were gonna stop by Jamison’s. Do you need some help with that?” She said and nodded towards the large bags of meat.
