Jack shook his head. "Nope, never letting that one go. Had this," he nodded towards the wrist strap, "not worked, I'd have been really peeved." But it had worked, just not exactly in the way Jack had hoped. At all.
"A history teacher?" Jack asked, arching an eyebrow. "Remind me not to take one of your classes. Even if the cheekiness might be a fair bit amusing. Physics, however? I think you and your technobabble might be hard for mere mortals to take." Not that Jack was any better. Smiling at the girl, he took the cup of coffee when set in front of him. Not quite the strength he was used to, but then again, no one made coffee like Ianto.
Drinks paid for, Jack headed back to one of the far tables. Perfect for privacy. "So. Woke up here without the TARDIS?" he asked. "Where the hell were you before?"
