Who? The Doctor & Jenny. Where? A cafe. When? lunchtime! What? A bit of father/daughter bonding. Rating? Low, I'd imagine! Open? Yes, to other DW peeps!
The Doctor felt pretty rough - the previous two days had been an emotional rollercoaster, and he was still feeling quite unstable after his appointment with Belle. He'd kept everything locked up for so long, that once he'd started crying he was scared he'd never be able to stop. Even now, nearly twenty-four hours later, he was just really hoping nothing would set him off again.
That's why Jenny was a good idea for a lunch date. While the fact that she wasn't dead was an emotional enough experience, it was at least a good emotion. Her continued existence gave him hope that he wasn't going to be alone anymore, there was still someone who needed him. So, as he settled into a booth to wait for his daughter, he made an effort to brush the past couple of days from his mind, and focus purely on the present. He just hoped whatever it was she had to share wasn't too terrible for him to cope with.
