After Barbara's help, he had found his apartment and somehow his bedroom. His own roommates weren't around when he settled in and he remained unseen for the rest of the evening. Dean was far too busy working out the information he had and the fact that Sam was next door. He had tried knocking on the door when he first came in and got nothing and figured that Sam was out scoping the city...if it really was Sam. Then again how many Winchesters would have the misfortune of being in a place like this at any given time. Slim to none. Now the question was, when was the right time to bother Sammy?
He had gone to bed and woken up fairly early, mostly due to horrible visions that flickered across his eyelids when his was fast asleep. They made his skin crawl and his head hurt. Dean knew what he was dreaming about. After two months (or twenty years in hell time) of torture and pain. Day after day of being tortured for what felt like an eternity. He would try and take those memories and bury them in the past. He was alive again and in better shape than ever. The only issue was the rest, but he would work on getting a good night's sleep later. There were bigger fish to fry at the moment.
Dean showered and dressed without much care, except that he was dressed comfortably and made his way out of his room and apartment. He wasn't the nervous type, thank god, but he still felt a little nervous meeting up with Sam again. After all, Dean had been dead. What if Sam wasn't himself anymore? No, this was Sammy he was talking about. Sammy would always be the same sweet kid he always was. The idea that Sam made a deal with something to raise him scared him endlessly, because he wasn't supposed to be looking out for Dean the way that Dean looked out for him.
Without too much hesitation, Dean knocked on the door and waited, rocking back and forth on his heels a little, awkwardly looking around to make sure he had the right room, the buzzer said 104...and this was room 104.
