Who? The Doctor and Belle. Where? Oriens 101. When? 2pm sharp. What? The Doctor has an appointment! Rating At least PG-13, I'd imagine.
The Doctor didn't really have a clue what he was doing. This had all seemed like such an excellent plan in the middle of the night, while he was still all wound up in an emotional situation. Now, in the light of day, as it were, it was all starting to seem a bit ridiculous. And yet, he'd still confirmed the appointment an hour earlier as was required. He could have easily cancelled it.
He didn't even really know what he was hoping to acheive. Sure, this woman looked like Rose, but it wasn't as if he was going to be able to trick himself into the thinking it was really her. The academy had been right about one thing - emotions were extremely dangerous, and if he wasn't careful he was going to go the same way as the Master sooner or later - completely round the bend. With Belle, he wouldn't have any of that emotional attachment - he couldn't burden Rose with all of his pain, but Belle... why not? She'd be able to leave the room, unaffected by him. His suffering had zero bearing on Belle's happiness. Was it just easier? Definitely. And yet, as he waited for her arrival, he'd never felt quite so intimidated, his hearts pounding away as he tried to push away the part of his mind that was screaming about how bad an idea this actually was.
