After turning the computer off Gabriella took a few minutes to make some sort of effort with her appearance, she hadn’t woke up with the urge to dress up, she never did so had just been lounging around in her pyjama’s, after all she wasn’t leaving her room unless it was for food and even then her roommates barely made an appearance.
Once she was dressed she made her way over to where Troy was staying, she really had been worried. There was still Kelsi and Ryan, along with the few people she had made an effort to talk to like Draco but it didn’t feel right not having Troy there. So Gabriella was more than a little relieved to find he hadn’t gone home at all, it was enough to put a smile on her face, one that was fixed there as she approached his room. She paused outside and knocked at the door, absently wondering who his roommates were.
Troy tripped over this things as he made his way out of his room and towards the door way to the suite. He looked around at the empty other bedrooms and sighed. He hated living alone. Back home there was always the noise of his mom in the kitchen or his dad out back on the court, or even his father yelling at the TV in the living room at some basketball game. He shook his head and ran a hand through his hair as he smoothed out the white shirt he was wearing. After getting back to his room and showering, he had only the clothes he had been wearing when he had disappeared. He hadn't unpacked any others yet. He sniffed at the shirt and hoped he didn't smell that bad before opening the door and smiling brightly.Gabriella grinned brightly and shrugged playfully, “not yet. There were a few potential replacements though.” She teased before laughing lightly and moving into the suite, reaching over to hug him tightly in greeting.
“None of them as good as you, of course.” Gabriella added with a smile, looking around and noticing the lack of movement from the other rooms and how quiet it was compared to her suite. Despite not meeting her roommates she had often heard them moving about, which was admittedly a little odd. If she woke to the sound of someone pottering around the kitchen she would assume it was her mother until reality set in and she realised she wasn’t back home at all.
“You might want to sort out the light bulb thing before it gets dark.” Gabriella commented, a little concerned with the lack of essentials in the room but once he wrapped his arms around her she visibly relaxed. She leant back against him with a small sigh, she had missed him and not that she would tell anyone else; freaked out when she thought he had gone home on a number of occasions.
“It’s fine, just don’t do it again.” She told him quietly, tilting her head back to look at him with a small smile, “I missed you, loads.” Gabriella made sure to put emphasis on the loads, it had been longest she had gone without speaking to him in..a really long time, if ever.
"I haven’t really spoken to them much, I think they’ve been spending more time together than with anyone else. It’s really cute actually,” Gabriella grinned, two more wildcats growing closer and thankfully Sharpay wasn’t there to ruin her brother’s happiness for once or try and take Troy away from her. Because despite how amusing his nightmare had sounded the thought of it actually happening was terrifying. “Oh and I got a job as a sales assistant because I didn’t really want to go singing on my own.” Or be paired up with someone else, she was so used to singing with Troy it would feel weird. “So, you’ve missed quite a bit.”
Gabriella turned around in his arms, linking her hands behind his back. “Did you have fun while you were away?”
"Fun? Not really. It was all a little to much for me." He sighed and rested his forehead against Gabriella's. He was kind of sad that nothing big had happened, but it was only a week ago that he had seen them all. What did he expect? Them to all have there own play house and be staring in some big play that Kelsi wrote and Ryan would do all the dance moves for? He shook his head, they didn't have a director, so that wouldn't work at all. "I know I love being on stage, but this all happened so fast. It was just a small little play, but in a blink it was all over and I had to come back." He shook his head at the thoughts, they were fleeting now.“Maybe we can all do something like you said, it’ll be like old times only without the drama.” Only now the thought of her new job was at the forefront of her mind she was nervous again, she was starting the next day and her lack of customer service skills terrified her.
"Yes, so we have to find out if Kelsi wants some new performers. I'm so ready to get back up on stage. Plus there isn't anywhere around here that I can play ball and get paid for it. I am seriously strapped for cash." He shook his head and wrapped his arms around her waist leaning down and placing a kiss to her lips.“I’ll have to work out my hours at the shop first and see if that fits in with being back on stage.” Gabriella mused; if she could handle Stanford she could handle a sales assistant job, right? She sighed softly as the kiss was broken and leant her forehead against his.
“I missed you too. It was so weird not being able to speak to you,” she admitted, a small frown now replacing the smile. “I hated it.”
