Anita wasn't used to getting people together. Not formally anyway. At home, there were always people over, but that was just the way of things. She had strong ties to two different sections of the shape shifter community. At home there was almost everyone showing up. Pard were always welcome to stay if they had no place else to go and pack she'd do what she could to help as well. However, nothing was ever planned. Not like what she was trying to do today. Here there wasn't really anybody she knew. Nothing else for her to do.
Friday she'd found a bakery and put in an order for them to make two pies. One apple and one pumpkin. If anyone had a problem with that then they didn't have to eat any pie at all. She'd picked up bottled Coke, Pepsi, and water from a near by drug store. She'd even bought a cooler and ice to keep them cool. It was true that she could have put them in the refrigerator, but she was trying to invade as little of her roommates space as possible.
After she'd gotten back from shopping she'd make up a little info sheet she'd hoped people would fill out. Most of it was basic stuff: Name, Age, Previous location, date it was at home when you appeared here. There were some more personal questions. Questions about powers and abilities and powers mostly. She wanted to try and get some information together. Maybe make some connections.
Saturday she'd picked up the pies from the bakery before coming back to the appartment to clean up the main area. She wasn't planning to let any of the guests anywhere else in the appartment. They weren't going to be allowed in the bedrooms without the express permission of the person who slept there. At about 6:30 she'd called and ordered the pizzas: one pepperoni, one sausage, and one cheese. She wasn't really expecting that many people to show up. In the end she'd decided if there were left overs the more for her and her roommates. If they needed more pizza they could always order more.
It was time, or almost time. She'd done just about all she could to get people together. She'd put out the notice. It was now just up to them to show up.
