Jack nodded, becoming momentarily serious as he looked toward the window she'd indicated. "So not far but odd nonetheless since we were actually in the same bed," he said quietly, though still loud enough for her to hear if she cared to. "Unless this place likes its prisoners to start out alone. Interesting." He filed that thought away. It might be something to discuss with Ianto later.
He frowned slightly when she said she had to move. "Huh, that sounds like it's something of a common theme here. A friend of mine had to move because of some 'whacko' as she put it who moved in. I take it this place has brought in some interesting people."
He didn't feel any particular apprehension except on the part of Gwen and Ianto. And Martha. I wasn't like either of these whack jobs that had been mentioned could actually do any lasting harm to him but he still remembered what it had been like during that year that no longer existed. At the Master's mercy and being forced to watch as he killed each member of his team. That was not something he wanted to live through again, no matter what the truth of this place actually was.
"Not yet, though I ought to go and find Ianto and Gwen. I'm sure they're looking for me." They'd become closer since Owen and Tosh' deaths. Mickey had noticed it and mentioned it in a casual, slightly off-hand yet serious manner. He'd put the young man off for the moment but had been planning on explaining what had happened with John and Gray. Mickey was very good at shoving his foot in his mouth and that could be a bad thing to do, especially around Ianto.
