His hand came up and ran through the back of her hair, liking the way it slipped through his fingers. "You should have done it sooner," he said, finding something about the way she mentioned seventh year a little sad. She had done fine without him, or at least he thought she had. He had been wrapped up in other matters although he still wished he could have gone backward a time or two and done many things differently.
"Yes, we could have and would have," he admitted as they continued walking. "I know mother wouldn't have gotten us one though. She wanted to keep us innocent although we were far from it." The smirk reappeared once more and he laughed lightly. "They always wanted to uphold pureblood traditions though. That night was perfect as it was. I did one hell of a job with the arrangements.
