It was good to have something to do, even if it was just working and not doing much or even just grocery shopping. It got her out of the apartment she was in and made her feel productive. She was an active person, who enjoyed days off, but hated sitting around day after day being useless. It didn't work for her. Even if being productive was to sit around in an office and making the coffee or typing up a page, it still was something. And to someone who tried keeping an optimistic attitude, it can only get better from here. And there was worse. So, she had it pretty good, everything was going pretty well for her.
She walked home, heels clicking against the pavement. She had two bags of groceries in her arms, thankful to get some things done and enjoy a walk, even in the bitter cold. So far her roommates seemed alright, the man she met, Linus seemed really nice. It was just too bad about his situation. She hoped that things got better for him and he worked things out with his wife. The whole story seemed weird, but after meeting the Winchester boys, everything could seem a little less weird to her.
