The blond stood by the window, looking out over the town. A thousand things were going through his mind and not one of them made any sense. He wasn't sure why he was there. He wasn't sure what happened. He had woken up in a strange bed, in this apartment, with his clothes neatly put away in a room he had never seen. It seemed like he lived here but that wasn't possible.
His lips pursed as he tried to go back to the night before finding the memory to be completely blank. He didn't feel drunk or hung over. He couldn't remember being with anyone, or really anything at all. His most recent memory was - he couldn't even get a grip on that, yet he knew who he was and that he certainly didn't belong in this place.
Movement in the apartment and a woman's voice caught his attention. She seemed upset and he would be as well had he not had so much control. He turned slowly and cast his cool, grey eyes on her. She looked like she had been in a battle. That word did trigger memories of the last wizarding war but it was over two years ago. "Hello," he said in his silky drawl, forcing himself to speak to the frazzled girl. "I assume that you don't know where you are, and if that is the case then that makes two of us. What happened to you?"
