The big purse beat up against Anita's thigh. She normally didn't carry a purse at all, but she needed a way to sneak in the coffee and to carry her gun. The gun was in a side pocket that was just about the right size. Not too small to show that there was a gun inside. Not to big to leave the gun too much room to shift around.
She was running a few minutes late. There was a longer line at Starbucks than she thought there would be. She had both of her worker sized thermoses filled up with the blend of the day, paid, and left. The library wasn't that far off, but still, she hated to be late. Not that this matered that much to her, but she really hated to be late. It happened, she knew that.
Walking up the sidewalk to the library a cool dusk wind blew through her dark curly hair. It had been a warm day, but by the time they were done it would probably be cool. It made her wish she'd brought something to wear over her black baby tee. Her arms were going to be cold on the way back.
She pushed the wish for a jacket back as she stepped into the library. It was something to worry about later. Her dark eyes scanned the building for Su Li. She'd never met the girl and wasn't really sure what to expect. She knew she didn't like the idea of the camera, but it was something she would have to get over. They all needed to try and work together to try and figure a way out of Canada. If this helped or could help, she was willing to try it.
