Who: Lucy and Schroeder What: more awkwardness When: Monday October 14, evening Where: Open: sure Rating: PG?
Schroeder had moved back to his old apartment, the one where he woke up in before he had run into Lucy. He thought that this would be an important step in moving on with his life. Not that he was exactly ready to move on with his life. But he figured that he shouldn't be so invested in the woman who lied to him and let him get married to her under false pretenses, the woman who was now supposed to be drawing up divorce papers. So something so fraily put together had to fall apart eventually, he just figured that he would be the one calling an end to it. And he hadn't yet - not that he really knew why he hadn't so far.
He was trying to be someone different anymore, someone who wouldn't let this get to him, or at least someone who wouldn't feel like he was making the biggest mistake of his life by not figuring all of this out. So he was acting completely unlike himself, sleeping in, going to the movie theater, listening to music that wasn't Beethoven.
Part of this whole new Schroeder was going by his first name. He couldn't sleep that night so he wound up in a bar with a few people that he had quickly made friends with. "Matt hurry up!" He heard one of the new friends calling from their table as he went for another pitcher of beer, yes this new Schroeder went by his first name. And it was still a little odd to hear his first name and be responsive to it. So he rushed back over to the table, careful not to run into anyone, a big silly drunken smile sprawled across his face.
