Su heard the noise but didn't think anything of it. And if she had known he was following her she would have ran to her room and slammed the door. Honestly, she was in her own little world, throwing herself a pity party. It was all too obvious to her now that nothing would ever happen between her and Michael. At least nothing that she was hoping for.
And then he spoke and though his voice wasn't that loud in relativity to how loud it could have been it was like the words were surrounding her in such a way that it made her whole body shake. "Fine I won't yell at you." She said not able to look directly at him. "I'll just leave you alone, because clearly that's what you want. Even if I remind you of Maria, maybe you'd kill her too if you could. I don't know, just stop staring at me. Stop looking at me like that because I don't know if I can take it anymore." Really he probably wasn't giving her anything but an ordinary look, she wouldn't know as she was avoiding his face, or even his torso. She was staring at his feet. All she could think about was waking up next to him and how strangely comforting it had been despite all of the questions she had for him, like how he had gotten there.
"I have to get ready for work." She told him in a forceful tone, as that was his cue for him to leave. "Some of us are responsible and want to go to school someday!"
