Dan frowned. "There's more than just him?" If it turned into the two of them against an underworld full of men and women with these powers he wasn't too sure how good of a chance they'd stand, especially without Archie for cover or remote support. He was really beginning to miss his owl ship. Now he needed money simply to buy enough parts to recreate his ship in this place. "Okay so we have people with abilities who call themselves mutants. What's the situation like for masks? Is the Keene Act still a factor here? What about the crime rate? Are there many with abilities and is it difficult to apprehend them?"
He stopped and shook his head, offering Laurie and apologetic smile. "I'm sorry. I haven't been wearing this costume for too long, New York just blew up, you and I have just been reunited, and I'm all ready talking like this is some sort of ... mission debriefing instead of a reunion. I'm just so curious about what this means for Nite Owl and Silk Spectre. Do we put the masks away here and focus on Dan and Laurie or is there room for both here?" If the Keene Act still made things illegal he'd happily focus on the two of them and nothing else.
Following her inside, a little slowly because his glasses weren't on, he looked around the apartment realizing it was set up similiar to his own. Four rooms and a larger living area. He wondered if she knew any of the people living with her. He'd yet to meet any of his own room mates. They were all still sleeping. Taking a seat on the couch he shrugged and offered her a warm smile. "Well... as you've said, we're stuck here. There's something keeping us here and I don't have anything. I mean... I have my suit in my closet but that was about it. None of my gadgets are here, no Archie. It's just me, the Nite Owl costume, and a change of clothes. In order for me to even dream about building something that'll figure out if it's something mechanical or electronic keeping us here I'll need to start building something and I can't build anything without parts and I can't get parts without money."
He'd have to try and leave the city himself, just to see what happens, and wander around the city limits to see if there was even anything in place that would keep them there. It was a long process. "No matter what the outcome though... we're going to be stuck here. We have to think about our normal lives too. I have degrees in aeronautics and zoology. Maybe I can find a job teaching somewhere."
