Upon waking up in her room, Laurie still wasn't used to this...she wanted it to be a dream. It was all a bad and terrible dream that she would soon wake up from. That or Jon would come and get her, telling her that everything was alright, that Dan was safe and he would bring him back to her. Right, just like she could deny any longer that the Comedian was her father. In short, she could say her life sucked.
She finally got herself out of bed and made her way to the private bathroom in her room and showered. She at least had some privacy, which she had missed for the past ten years of her life. Jon's military accommodations didn't allow for much privacy and living with Dan for nearly two weeks, she had started to get used to the idea again.
So after a leisurely shower, she put on a bathrobe from the closet that suspiciously looked like the red one she had back home and made her way out of her room. She hadn't realised that she had roommates in this place, she never had that before. She lived with Jon, who never needed to sleep, and that wasn't exactly a roommate. Still, she walked right by the man on the couch and went to make some coffee, only to find some made. She poured herself a cup and added two sugar cubes before going to the table area and noticing him.
'Oh god, you scared me!' she said, clutching the cup and holding it close to her.
