Oh my, this woman has been through quite a lot, hasn't she? And one of Ellie's biggest pet peeves are therapists and doctors who don't explain the entire process to their patients first -- is this what's happened to this woman?
"It's rehab, as in rehabilitation. Working to get better, say, after an injury." Or addiction for that matter. Not wanting to stir up anything painful, she leaves that part out. "I suppose it could be re-have, as in reclaiming your life, which is part of getting better."
And in regards to Simon's work, that little flag about memory loss worries her a bit, wondering what happened to her sister to keep her from remembering. It's far beyond her expertise or training to comment though, and entirely in the realm of Simon's specialty. Instead, she tries to focus on the here and now, and the positive too. "How's it gone so far? Well, I hope?" Smiling, she wants to encourage her, not worry her. "And pardon my manners, I'm Ellie Masterson... Anders, it's very nice to meet you." It's Ellie Anders, and has been for close to a year!
