Roy Harper had always been an action first, think about the consequences later kind of guy. And that was how he found himself exiting the Zeta Tube Station in Gotham and entering S.T.A.R Labs to see a woman he had been having dreams about since the particle accelerator accident seven months ago. Although now he had been assured that the dreams were a reality. One that he and his daughter, Lian, had lived and yet didn't simultaneously. It was a weird situation and honestly, Roy didn't want to wrap his head around it. He just wanted to retrieve Lee from Gotham, bring her home and think about the possible repercussions later. Why? Because it felt right and that was good enough for the archer. The assistants at S.T.A.R Labs were Justice League affiliated and knew Roy, so it wasn't a big drama to get in and see Leslie. They kept her in a waiting room - a room nothing like a sterile waiting room in a hospital or something with its comfy sofa, television and bookshelves full of books and magazines. It looked like it belonged more in someone's house than in a laboratory. Roy knew the rooms well as he had helped retrieve some of the new arrivals and brought them here to be processed. He was actually really impressed that they offered such a comfortable space because the poor arrivals had been traumatized enough by landing in an unknown world without feeling like they are some sort of experiment on arrival. Getting to the room, Roy paused at the door and drew a deep breath, trying to calm himself. "Pull yourself together, Harper." He encourage himself under his breath, ignoring the voice in the back of his head starting to mutter at how insane this was. He knocked on the door and then opened it slightly, poking his head around the door and plastering a friendly smile on his face. Although, it really wasn't hard to smile when he saw the gorgeous woman before him. "Hey Doc. Miss me?" |
