Weekly Promotion Challenge: The X-Files (TV show & Movies)
Welcome to the fifteenth Weekly Fandom Promotion Challenge.
For the next seven days, we are hosting a drabble-a-thon where each entry is based around the chosen fandom. You will be given a set of seven daily prompts tailored to that fandom so you can write at least a 100 word drabble. There is no word limit, so by all means, go over if you like. Next Monday, we will start over with a new fandom.
Fandom Name: The X-Files (TV show & Movies) Fandom Level: General
Pairing: Any.
A Brief Description: It began with an abduction. Then for nine seasons and two movies, 'The X-Files' ran amok through science fiction and science fact. FBI Agents Mulder and Scully, off and on, uncovered a variety of experiments and paranormal activities. From a conspiracy to create alien/human hybrids that went back sixty years, to glowing green insects that sucked the moisture from living creatures, if it could be seen, it was brought to us on a weekly basis. While some remain skeptical, there were those who always wanted to believe.
Monday - The main concept of the show was investigating the unknown. Give us a quick case from the headlines X-files style. Mood: Sensational!
Tuesday - Scully's faith was always tested, why does she still believe in God, but not Mulder? Mood: Doubtful.
Wednesday - Mulder will always search for Sam, but since she is dead, he can only do it in dreams. Mood: Mourning.
Thursday - The Colonists will win. The date is fast approaching. Mood: Fate.
Friday - Krycek died, right? Is the rat with nine lives gone forever? Mood: Lazarus.
Saturday - Skinner stuck his neck out for them on more than one occasion. Let them return the favor. Mood: Scratching Your Back.
Sunday - The fandom loves X-overs. What fandom is now an X-file? Mood: *Haunting Whistle*
Reward: All participants get this lovely X-Files 'Seeking The Truth' icon.
Jerry's Final Thought: Chris Carter gave us probably the best cop/sci-fi show to ever have existed. Ups and downs, it was a wild ride. Mulder and Scully still live on in our minds. Thanks to them, every time we look up, we no longer wonder what is out there, but what is looking back?
If you have stories about this week's theme, feel free to share with us. All stories should be posted to the asylum, not as a reply to this post. Just think of this post as a notice on a bulletin board.
