It wasn't exactly what they had been hoping for, but she knew this was what they needed. Without Ezra to draw in the crowd, it fell upon others. That was something Vin had no problem with.
Standing outside her tent, Vin was busy taking in the crowd. A dark blue scarf was draped over her head and shoulders, hiding most of her face. Under that, she wore a thick cotton robe over her buckskins that hid her figure. Still, it wasn't enough.
Men were noticing her.
It was more pronounced than it had been. Walking up the row towards the front entrance, she felt a few fingers trailing out to catch her. None of them would fully touch her with the two gorillas at her back. Even they weren't immune, however, as she caught Tiny watching her ass more than the crowd.
It wasn't a bad ass, she knew. More pronounced than most, it had a tear shape that held a fringe hem just nicely. Ezra couldn't keep his hands off it, not that she would let him hold it for long. Slowing her pace, she came to a stop.
Pausing, she glanced over her shoulder. The look used to have a devastating effect through her long hair. With the close-cropt style, there required more mystic, hence the scarf. Yet, there came more than a few whistles.
Smirking, she turned and continued on her way in to the tent. There was a graceful swing in her hips this time.

Removing his tophat, Ezra showed that it was empty to the gathering of kids and their parents. Turning over, he tapped the top to further demonstrate that state. "Now, are you certain I have nothing upon my person?"
A few of the kids giggled, but they all nodded in turn when he looked to them.
"Then all of you must be blind." Spinning the hat on one finger, he caught the rim. Holding it over the ground in front of them, he flicked it with a knuckle. A handful of candy fell out, the waxpaper wrappers glistening in the sunlight.
Screeching, they dived for it, grabbing as much as they could.
Tumbling his hat up arm, Ezra caught it with his other hand. After swirling it around one finger, he dropped it on his head. Tapping the top, he grinned at the adults. Nodding to them, he stepped around a group of toddlers.
Others in the fair were watching him, but he didn't acknowledge them. Wherever there were children, it was his duty to play for them. He wasn't certain what he had done to earn such a fate, but surely his punishment would be over soon. Then again, he had a feeling a certain vixen was behind this.
If Vin had her way, he would be out among the children every day. It wasn't his fault, she should have been more careful. Then again, she didn't know that, so, in her eyes, it was his fault.
Sighing, he noticed another passel of children staring forlornly at the candied apple booth. It cost five cents for one, but most kids didn't have that much money in this town. They were going to take a loss. Which meant Travis was going to be in his trailer, drinking his scotch.
Reaching in to his pocket, Ezra pulled out a bank roll of nickels. Duty called.

Show over, Vin stood once again outside her tent in the buckskins and robe. Her headscarf was some where backstage, but was too much to put on in the afternoon heat. There were already a long line for the next performance, much to her amusement.
Walking up the line on one side of the rope, she shook the hand of the first man in line. Letting the collar of her robe slip, she craned her neck to look at Tiny over shoulder. His fingers tightened around her palm when she did. Smiling, she turned to face him again. Winking, she moved on.
The next one was a teen that looked similar enough to the man that they had to be related. As he leaned over the rope to watch her, Vin curled a finger under his chin. "Ain't you sweet."
While the teen pinked and the others around him chuckled, Vin patted his cheek and moved on. The next two men tried to hold her hand for too long, but she slipped free with little effort. Surprisingly, the person behind them was a woman.
Holding out her hand, Vin grasped the woman's in her own. Letting her thumb run over the outside of her palm, Vin held her gaze. "Thank you for coming to my show. I hope you enjoy it."
The breathless gasp made Vin smile.
Stepping up to the next person in line, Vin noticed he wouldn't quite meet her gaze. That was okay, he was staring at her breasts. Laughing, Vin patted his shoulder and continued on.

Drawn to familiar laughter, Ezra dropped the last of the coins in his pocket. That was two dollars he would never see again, but the good will he inspired might pay off. Walking towards the tent, he examined his white gloves. He frowned at the stains the coins had left.
"Filthy things." Another laugh drew his attention from the stains. Seeing the source caused him to stop all together. Swallowing, he watched her hips sway in that ease gate his mind automatically associated with Vin. From now until eternity he would know that ass anywhere.
Licking his lips, he chuckled for no apparent reason at all. When he could pull his eyes away from the swell, he found the ass' owner watching him. He touched the brim of his hat in acknowledgement of her.
Vin visibly snorted, then went back to greeting her customers.
Narrowing his eyes, Ezra watched Vin change her stance. Where her ass was only just noticeable before, it was prominently displayed now. From the way poor Tiny was checking the strength of his collar, he knew he wasn't the only effected.
Ezra clenched his jaw.

The straps of her top clutched to her chest by an arm, Vin shimmied down. Raising her eyebrows, she started to pull her arm away, then quickly slammed it back to her chest. Snickering, she puckered up for the whistles.
Shaking her hips, she turned until her ass was to them. This time, she let the top go. Raising her arms over her head, she shook her breasts free. The moment they sprang free of the top, cheers and whistles echoed in the tent. Cat calls chased her back stage as she walked through the curtains laughing.
Stopping, she kicked the ground and clapped her hand. Vin danced across the wooden slats to her chest and vanity. Once there, she plopped down in the short stool and spun to face the mirror. She reached up behind her to untie the knot holding the rest of her top in place.
As she slipped it from around her chest, she caught the curtains parting in her mirror. She opened her mouth to call Tiny until she saw who it was. Instead, she reached down to the vanity top and picked up the revolver there. "What are you doing here?"
Stopping just at the curtains, Ezra saw the lamp light glint off the steel. "I assure you, that will not be necessary." Sighing when she cocked it, he took off his hat. "For the life of me, I cannot fathom the reason why such a costume is necessary to perform my duties."
"It bothers you, that's reason enough." Putting the revolver back on the vanity top, she switched to watching her own reflection. She pulled down one cheek to ensure the eyeliner was still applied properly, then the other. Finding nothing out of the ordinary there, she picked up the brush and reapplied her rouge.
Ezra tossed the hat over on top of her costume trunk. "How did you while your way in to Mr. Travis' person in such a way that he would listen to you over my objections?" Snatching off his white gloves, he folded them and added them to the hat. "It galls me to no end that every petition to the contrary is shot down before he even gives it witness!"
"I know." Vin giggled. Dabbing the wand to her lips, she touched up the red paint. "Ain't it great?"
"No, it's not." Having undone the buttons on his coat and vest, he stopped behind her. Ezra waited until she was looking up at before continuing. "You are severely trying my patience, my dear."
"Is that what I'm doin?" Pushing her breasts together, she puckered up her lips again in the mirror. When the image presented set in her mind, she nodded. She started to stand up, but Ezra's hand on her shoulder shoved her back down. "What do you think your doin?"
"This is not a game. I will only be pushed so far." He caught the first elbow that came his way. The second caught him in the thigh. Using her arm to spin her on the stool, he grabbed her by the shoulders. His jaw was clenched from the pain. "You have very bony elbows."
"Good, I hope it hurt, ya ass!" She caught the way her slip up caused his eyes to light up. "I'm not doin it, Ezra, your hands plenty lonely enough."
"Oh, yes, we are!" He pulled her off the stool to her feet. "You have been teasing me relentlessly for two weeks. That is not fair play, and you know it!" With that, his hands slid down her sides to grab at her skirt. Hands fully ensconced inside the material, he jerked the fabric up her hips.
Vin's fingers went to his hips, crawling along his belt to the buckle. "Anyone ever said ya speak too much?"
Slapping her ass, Ezra brought her up flush against him. The next instant found him sprawling across the back stage. Having landed on his ass with a loud thud, he stared up at her stunned. "Have you lost what little..."
Slamming the stiletto heel of her shoe down between spread legs, she silenced his retort. Vin drew herself up, chin raised enough that she was looking down upon him. "I may be a woman now, but I ain't your whore!"
For several seconds, Ezra could only stare at her with wide eyes. When his senses came back to him, he nodded.
"Now get out." Drawing her leg back, Vin tugged down her skirt. She tried to toss her hair, but found it missing and closed her eyes.
There was silence for a while until Ezra started to move. He drew himself up until he could stand. He stared at her helplessly, waiting for any sign from her. Holding out a hand when she looked to him, he whisper, "Vin."
"Don't." Vin shook her head. Turning away from him, dropped her head to her chest. "Please, just go."
"What can I do?" When she didn't respond, he let his hand fall to his side.
She raised her eyes first, looking at herself in the mirror. Almost hesitantly, she reached up to touch her left breast. When she made contact, her breath hitched and she closed her eyes. "This is what I am."
Swallowing, Ezra looked down. There wasn't a reason for it, but it felt safer not to look. "I apologize."
"It's not your fault, mine either, but I gotta learn to live with it." Her voice barely above a whisper, she bit her lip when she finished. Raising her chin, she took a calming breath. As she exhaled, her smile was back in place. "This is me."
Ezra's answering smile was just as false in the mirror. Walking over to the trunk, he picked up his hat and gloves. He hesitated over them, glancing back to her face. "I'll be waiting for you in the trailer after last show."
With an amused snort, she smiled. "I'll see you there."
Taking his hat and gloves, Ezra walked from the back of the tent.
When the tent flap had stilled, Vin caught her own self watching her from the mirror. Pulling her cheeks back in a smile, practiced a seductive pose. Fluttering her eyelashes, she winked.
